About Kat

My name is Kat Howser, and I am a dog lover, animal lover, and mental health therapist. I love to help others and I empathize with those around me. I am also confident in my abilities and my knowledge of animals and people. I am a therapy dog consultant. I am a therapist. I am a social worker. I am a dog trainer. 

I have been a licensed master social worker since 2023. I have worked in therapy dog work since 2011. With the help of my best friend Indy, a nine-year-old golden retriever, I hope to change people's lives and offer a therapy that only a dog can offer. I also have a certification in Animal-Assisted Therapy. 

I strongly support the use of dogs in therapeutic settings and I strive to to share my empathy with young people so that the world may one day be the planet that I know it can become. 

I also have experience with dog training. I utilize my education background and knowledge of dog psychology and child psychology to support the developmental needs of dogs and support their owners through understanding and leading by example. Every dog I visit with is treated as my own. I will be your dog's advocate as well as one of their best buddies, and I will help you to develop a relationship with your dog that will serve to accomplish your goals.
